Mother Nature, where did the springtime weather go? It's not that I don't like this summer-like weather we're having - seriously, another day of upper 70s and I think we even broke 80 today - but I have to admit. I'm not ready for having to run when the mercury in the thermometer is still hovering in the upper 70s after work.
Tonight I had 4 miles to run. Nothing long. Just four miles stood between me, sweat pants, a quick blogging session and settling in to watch more episodes of Season 2 of Gossip Girl.
But those 4 miles tonight? Hard. As in it felt like I was running a lot faster than I actually was. And I had to stop for more short stretching/catching my breath breaks than I normally would. And I was
Even as hard as that run was, it got done. And I admit, I'm looking forward to the end of the week when high temps are supposed to drop down into the 60s. Still unseasonably warm, but at least it's cooler.

I ran home from work today to get a long run in during the week. I checked the wind and it was from the south at 20mph. I was heading north . . . otherwise I am not sure I would have made it. !!!
I am enjoying the warm temps while we have them . . . they can't last for long! I really love running in cooler temp's, and usually seem to overheat during the summer months. But this has been so fun!
I run better in this weather. I absolutely suck an layering and having to run in them....slows me down. I went for a run last night at about 6:45. I did 5 miles and it was glorious for me. I don't mind the 60's we'll be getting this weekend though either :) As long as the rain stays away.
yea, we usually only get about 2 weeks of spring and it's usually in late march, early april around easter. We're already into summer heat. it sucks.
