The Olympic spirit dominates the rest day

What better way to spend a rest day than sitting in front of the TV watching the opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics?

Sounds like a pretty good way to spend a Friday night to me. Just watching the intro NBC had on gave me chills. So excited for the next 17 days.

And yet even with all the excitement, there's a layer of tragedy hanging over the ceremonies. Thoughts of the Georgian luger who lost his life today during a training run. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Nodar Kumaritashvili, the Georgian athletes and the Republic of Georgia.

My exact Friday night. Watching the Olympics and catching up reading blogs. So sad about Nodar. That video was so scary- I almost wanted to cry for him :(

I'm really excited for the olympics- love the olympic theme song. Its bringing back memories when I got to go to the 1996 summer Olympics with my parents.
